Brisbane’s Only Live Melbourne Cup Day Event is at Eagle Farm Racecourse
The thundering of hooves, roar of punters on the sideline, subtle scent of fresh spring roses and hive of activity in the bookies ring will all be part of Brisbane's only live Melbourne Cup Day celebration at Eagle Farm Racecourse on Tuesday, 2nd November.
Why head indoors to a CBD pub or hotel to watch The Race That Stops a Nation, when the closest thing to Flemington is only ten minutes away? Experience an atmosphere that only a racetrack can provide with an action packed live horse racing programme, super screens in addition to over 500 televisions relaying all the action live from Melbourne, 140 TAB facilities and bookmakers.
With all the ingredients to create an electrifying live racing atmosphere, Brisbane's Toyota Melbourne Cup Day Live Party will also host great hospitality packages such as the Fashion Marquee ($178) and the Lawn Party ($168). The corporate enclosure will feature a long stretch of opulent marquees with the entire 6,000 square metres of entertaining space. On the day, Eagle Farm racegoers will consume over 340kg prawns, more than 33,000 glasses of champagne and spend close to $3 million on having a bet.

This year's Indooroopilly Shopping Centre Fashions on the Field will feature the all new addition of a "live" judging component where racegoers will be given the opportunity to vote on a "Viewer's Choice" award outside of the Judges' Pick. The competition for the title of Fashions on the Field Winner will be just as high as that for the Winner of the 150th Melbourne Cup, with a trip to New Zealand and the chance to compete in the $100,000 Mercedes Prix de Fashion up for grabs.
Tickets are just $26.50 through Ticketek (plus booking fee) and for a limited time, racegoers who purchase their General Admission ticket will also receive a FREE ticket to the races over the Summer as a bonus.
