Celebrities Design Millinery for Carnival Auction

A collection of celebrity designed millinery will be auctioned from June 4 through until June 10 to raise money for the Official Charity of the Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival, ACT for Kids.

Celebrities taking part in this promotion include Channel Seven Presenters - Kay McGrath, Sharyn Ghidella, Sofie Formica, Angie Asimus, Kimberley Busteed and Liz Cantor.

The celebrity millinery line can be viewed at the Carnival Ladies' Day, Treasury Casino QLD Oaks on June 4.

The online auction will run between June 4 and June 10 at brc.com.au, with the highest winning bidders revealed on AAMI Stradbroke Day, June 11.

All proceeds raised from the auction will be donated to ACT for Kids, the Official Charity of the Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival. ACT for Kids, formerly known as the Abused Child Trust, is an Australian charity which works to treat and prevent child abuse and neglect.

Brisbane Racing Club (BRC) Chief Operating Officer, Darren Condon said the initiative is a fantastic opportunity for the fashion-conscious to get behind a great cause.

"With the generous support of these celebrities the millinery auction will raise awareness about child abuse and raise funds for ACT for Kids to continue their work in the community.

"What's more, this is your opportunity to own a bespoke piece of millinery designed by some of the country's most recognizable celebrities," said Mr Condon.
