Melbourne Cup Trophy Showcased at Exclusive Luncheon
It’s worth $125,000, made of 34 pieces of 18 carat gold which are hand beaten over 200 hours and is the most identifiable sporting trophy anywhere in the world.
The 150th Emirates Melbourne Cup will be showcased in Brisbane on Thursday, 21 October in an exclusive luncheon for Brisbane corporate and racing industry guests.
Hosted by Triple Ms Ian Skippen, lunch highlights will include an interview with dual Melbourne Cup winning jockey, John Letts, and a showcasing of the cup with guests given the unique opportunity to be photographed with the iconic trophy.
The Cup’s Brisbane stopover is part of a 220 day world tour, celebrating the 150th running of the race, its history and heroes.
