Vanessa Amorosi Cancels Brisbane Show
Vanessa Amorosi has cancelled her live concert in Brisbane due to a Universal Music Recording Agreement which requires her to remain in London next month.
The singer had been booked by the Brisbane Racing Club (BRC) to perform a one hour live concert at the opening of the Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival on May 15 at Doomben Racecourse.
A spokesperson for Premier Artists, booking agent for Vanessa Amorosi, said ““It is very unfortunate that Vanessa Amorosi has been withdrawn from the event due to European record label commitments and impending album release in UK and Europe.”
BRC Chief Operating Officer, Darren Condon, said the Club was understandably disappointed Vanessa Amorosi had cancelled her show.
“It is unfortunate Vanessa Amorosi will not be returning to perform for her Australian fans at the launch of Brisbane’s biggest racing event.”
“I am very pleased to announce however, pop sensation Ricki-Lee has been confirmed to perform at the launch of the Carnival,” said Mr Condon.
Australia’s pop darling, and the former Gold Coast girl, was swiftly snapped up to perform a one hour live show at Racefest on May 15, shortly after the announcement her hit Can’t Touch It features in the new Sex and the City 2 trailer.
Tickets to the much anticipated Racefest and Ricki-Lee’s live concert are just $25 and available via Ticketek.
