A note about our charity partner MANDATE:
MANDATE is the PA Research Foundation’s campaign to support prostate cancer research and encourage men to take ownership of their health. Sadly, over 17,000 men in Australia will be diagnosed with prostate cancer in 2018, no other cancer affects more Australian men. In addition, every year, more than 3000 Australian families’ lives are turned upside down as a result of losing a loved one to prostate cancer.
Further research into this insidious disease is vital to lower the death rates and improve early diagnosis, treatments and patient outcomes. Funds raised for MANDATE through Blokes’ Day Out will support several innovative prostate cancer research projects at the PA Hospital Campus, which is home to the Australian Prostate Cancer Research Centre.
