Feltre – Race 9

Fullazaboot – Race 1

Prince Of Tie – Race 2

Romney’s Choice – Race 5

Steel Zip – Race 9

Race 1 12.22pm SKY Racing 2yo Handicap 1200m.

No.2 Fullazaboot – (S. Kendrick) – 1st (0.2L) 28/11 Sunshine Coast 850m 2yo trial Soft (TR N/A)

Jumped just ok wide out, urged along to go forward rushed up to join the leaders 3 wide. Headed for home just over a length away still wide, levelled up 150m edging slightly clear late with plenty in the tank.

Let up (49 days). Only the one outing for a very impressive victory here on a very heavy track back in October. Really liked the way he let down and sprinted away from the opposition over the concluding stages. Trialled very well and rates a definite winning chance.

No.7 Desert Knight – (Heinrich/Rodgers) – 2nd (0.2L) 31/10 Doomben 1000m 2yo trial Good (TR N/A)

Jumped well in only a three horse field settling 2nd under a good grip off the fence 2 lengths away. Asked to improve before the turn, levelled up straight, livened up 200m in a sprint to the line was just outgunned by the stablemate (Injustice).

First start. 200K purchase by an American sire who was a 2 x Group 1 and 3 x Group 2 winner (1400-1700m) in his homeland, he is yet to sire any Stakes winners. Dam is an unraced Fastnet Rock mare, this will be only her second foal to race. Hard to rate his trial against only the two rivals run in slow time. Market our best guide.

Race 2 12.57pm WWW.BRC.COM.AU Ratings Band 0-70 Handicap 1350m.

No.10 Prince Of Tie – (K. Schweida) – 5th (2.0L) 14/11 Doomben 1000m Open trial Good (TR 99.5)

Jumped ok, quickly on the move soon after cleared the pack settled almost a length clear fence. Marginal leader into the straight leaving the inside, collared 150m, urged, faded.

Resuming (150 days). Yet to place first up however raced consistently right from the beginning of his last campaign with wins coming over 1400 and 1600m. Tough task to win from the wide draw however worthy of inclusion in exotic bets.

Race 5 2.48pm Monier ‘Top Cat’ In Roofing No Metro Wins Handicap 1200m.

 No.18e Romney’s Choice – (C. Anderson) – 5th (4.7L) 14/11 Doomben 840m Open trial Good (TR112)

Missed the start almost a length settling down last just over 6 lengths from the lead. Still back there into the straight, urged along slightly brought to the outside last 150m did make ground.

Resuming (122 days). Ex NSW galloper having his first start for the Anderson stable who has won twice first up from 4 attempts with a placing included. Wasn’t asked for any great effort in the trial making late headway. Definite betting watch.

Race 7 4.08pm AQWA Constructions Just Now Quality 1350m.

No.13 Bettabet Red – (L. White) – 4th (1.0L) 28/11 Sunshine Coast 1270m Open trial Soft (TR N/A)

Missed the start just under a length settling down last off the fence in a slowly run trial barely 4 length off the lead. Slightly closer into the straight, called upon running on 200m, stayed on soundly without ever looking a threat.

Resuming (119 days). Surprised first up last campaign when well supported to win at Ipswich at their big Cup Day meeting back in June. Apart from being outclassed in the Glasshouse Handicap behind Monsieur Gustave at her next run she raced consistently throughout the campaign. This grade looks a bit beyond her though.

Race 8 4.48pm Green Options Racing Pty Ltd Brisbane Handicap 1600m.

No.8 Urban Knight – (D. Hansen) – 2nd (0.2L) 28/11 Sunshine Coast 1270m Open trial Soft (TR N/A)

Missed the start almost a length settling down 3rd fence tracking the leader in a slowly run trial 2 lengths away. Same into the straight, little room to the 200m, angled into the clear soon after though being urged along quickly picked up ground to just miss out.

Let up (35 days). Generally known as a leader however put together consecutive wins when parking off the pace here and at the Sunshine Coast September/October finishing off strongly to score on each occasion. Might be better for the run here, betting moves will be our best guide.

Race 9 5.25pm Become A Member at BRC No More Than One Metro Wins TY Handicap 1350m.

No.2 Steel Zip – (P. Duff) 1st (2.3L) 21/11 Deagon 1000m Open trial Soft (TR 116)

Jumped well, urged to go forward and dispute the lead settled close up 2nd holding the inside with a decent gap back to 3rd. Took over 400m, headed for home with a 2 length break, urged along slightly easily held his rivals down to the line.

Let up (41 days). Now a 10yo who hasn’t won for 755 days… He keeps trialling well though and clocked very quick time winning the above heat. With the claim for Hannah English he will appreciate the weight relief however will need to improve on his recent form.

No.6 Feltre – (B. Smith) – 2nd (1.3L) 21/11 Deagon 1200m Open trial Soft (TR 102)

Jumped ok off the inside no rush at all content to settle 2nd last in the small field barely 4 lengths from the leader. Halved the margin turn, off leaders back into the straight, just coasted down to the line given a very easy time.

Resuming (149 days). Only missed a placing twice in 6 first up attempts to date which includes win. Beaten under 3 lengths in a similar type race first up last campaign here over the same distance by Siegfried. Easy trial placing, one to include in exotics.

No.20e Bettabet Red – (L.

Drawn a good gate here and isn’t the roughest chance should she gain a start.
