Owners’ privileges
The Brisbane Racing Club (BRC) recognises the significant contribution made to the racing industry by owners and places a high value on their involvement in meetings conducted at Doomben and Eagle Farm Racecourses.
The BRC offers owners a range of raceday privileges designed to make your raceday at Doomben and/ or Eagle Farm both enjoyable and comfortable.
The information that follows outlines the BRC policy that will be applied on the day the owner’s horse is racing at Doomben and/ or Eagle Farm Racecourse. Requests for privileges additional to those listed are likely to receive favourable consideration provided such requests are reasonable and received by the BRC with adequate notice.
Privileges for Owners (and Syndicate Managers)
The following privileges are offered to owners* (and syndicate managers*) whose names are printed in the racebook on the raceday.
- Admission to the racecourse at which your horse is running on the day, that is Doomben or Eagle Farm
- Admission to the Members’ Reserve
- Admission to the Mounting Enclosure (nominated race only)
- Option to purchase additional tickets to the Members’ Reserve
* Complimentary admission to the racecourse, the Members’ Reserve and the Mounting Enclosure is offered to one guest accompanying the owner (or syndicate manager).
Privileges for Syndicate Owners
The following privileges are offered to members of syndicates+ (up to a total of twenty owners per horse) provided the syndicate manager has submitted a list of names to the BRC office by noon on the working day prior to the race meeting:
- Admission to the racecourse at which your horse is running on the day, that is Doomben or Eagle Farm
- Admission to the Members’ Reserve
- Admission to the Mounting Enclosure (nominated race only)
- Option to purchase additional tickets to the Members’ Reserve
+ Privileges are not normally extended to guests of members of syndicates.
Proof of Identity
As a condition for receiving raceday privileges, owners are required to provide proof of identity (e.g. current driver’s license) when requested by BRC personnel.
Procedure for obtaining Owners’ Privileges
Enter the course via the Members’ Entrance gate, informing the attendant of your name and the name of the horse you own. Proof of identity may be requested. Admission will be granted as outlined above (includes a bona fide guest accompanying an owner or syndicate manager whose name appears in the racebook).
Go to the Raceday Office and inform BRC personnel of your name, your guest’s name and the name of the horse you own. Appropriate tickets will then be issued.
