James Squire Oaks Day
Celebrate fillies, fashion and ladies in racing as the illustrious James Squire Oaks Day returns for the penultimate day of the Carnival.
This signature raceday encompasses the frivolity, glamour and prestige of the winter racing season. Across the iconic grounds of Eagle Farm Racecourse there will be exquisite food and beverage menus, lively entertainment and elegant fashion on show.
The classic staying test for three-year-old fillies, the Group One James Squire Queensland Oaks, will take centre stage as some of the best young staying fillies in Australia and New Zealand vie for their place in the history of the race the mighty Winx clinched her maiden Group One success in.
The Oaks is supported by five other black type races, plus the introduction of the new Queensland Sapphire Stakes for fillies and mares over 1600m.
