Stradbroke Day

AAMI Stradbroke Day is Queensland’s most prestigious day of racing and the grand final of the Channel Seven Brisbane Racing Carnival. Competing for $1million, Australasia’s best sprinters will battle it out in the 122nd running of the Group 1 AAMI Stradbroke Handicap. In a new initiative, introduced by the BRC, together with the Queensland Government through Events Queensland, winners of select sprint legs around Australia and New Zealand will be invited to race against each other in this year’s Group 1 AAMI Stradbroke.

Other features of the day include the Group 1 Channel Seven Queensland Derby, the Group 1 Patinack Farm T.J. Smith and the Group 2 Brisbane Cup.

The colours black, red and white reign supreme on AAMI Stradbroke Day with many racegoers choosing to theme their outfits around this colour palette.

The David Jones Fashions on the Field competition will be an open category where both men and women can enter.

Open-Air Grandstand Terraces

The al fresco setting and sweeping views of these open-air grandstand terraces provides a great way to entertain guests. Positioned on the tiers of both the Public and Members' Grandstands at Eagle Farm, each box ranges in size accommodating anywhere from 10 - 25 guests. A plattered hot lunch is served to your box including a selection of hot and cold savoury items and an esky is supplied with your choice of beverages.

Lawn Party

This very popular Carnival function is the perfect place for racegoers looking for a party atmosphere. The Lawn Party precinct includes a large undercover area beneath the historic old St Leger Grandstand at Eagle Farm as well as a connecting alfresco enclosure shaded by draping fig trees. Patrons attending the Lawn Party can set up base for the day on the lawn seating or on one of the many high bars and stools

The Lawn Party precinct will include a superscreen and several plasmas for race viewing or racegoers can take a short walk under the grandstand to the track fence to view the action live. The precinct will also include tote facilities and bookmakers, various bars and buffet tables as well as live entertainment during the afternoon.

Homestraight Lawn 

The Homestraight lawn is located inside the home straight with an unrivalled view over the course proper and the Eagle Farm Grandstands as a backdrop. Each group of10 will receive a carparking lot, providing a comfortable space from which to enjoy the days racing. This package is a self-cater package however all beverages must be purchased from the centrally located bar.

Guests can also take advantage of the opportunity to access all general public areas around the racecourse via a track crossing.

Homestraight Lawn packages include:
