Due to our contacts with suppliers we are unable to alter the individual items. We can certainly look at adding beverages to the package at an additional cost. Alternatively, we can arrange a separate bar tab for this product, in conjunction with a beverage package for your event.
As we are a fully licensed venue, no BYO alcohol is permitted onsite. For weddings no external catering is permitted (with the exception of wedding cakes / bonbonniere items). However, we can certainly look at ordering specialty items with our suppliers for your big day.
Yes, you certainly can! You must be accompanied by a BRC staff member when accessing the track if horse movement is in process. Please advise your Sales Executive so this can be arranged for you.
Yes we have children’s meals available for those under 12 years for $35.00 each. This includes a children’s main meal, dessert and non-alcoholic beverages. We can supply contractor meals for $45.00 each including a main meal and non-alcoholic beverages.
Dietary requirements can be accommodated if advised 10 days prior to event along with final numbers. Dietary requirements cannot be guaranteed to be accommodated if advised on the day.
Unfortunately due to relationships with suppliers we are unable to offer menu tastings. Here at BRC we are lucky enough to have a brilliant, experienced chef, Michael Fletcher working here with us. We also have menu descriptions and images of the food to show you. We also hold Wedding Open Evenings where you can come and taste a selection of our most popular items.
Any items left on site are the responsibility of the client or supplier. Overnight storage can be arranged by request for smaller items. All gifts and money must be taken on the day.

Yes, BRC permits live entertainment. We have a 90 decibel sound limit.
We are very excited to offer our lovely brides and grooms a gorgeous bridal suite when they book the Tote Room for their wedding reception. If the bridal suite has not been booked 14 days prior and you are having your reception in another space, you can hire the room at an additional cost.
We have a lectern and microphone available for speeches along with internal room lighting.
This depends on the room. Our experienced staff are able to offer guidance on layout for your event during a site inspection and floor plans. This being said, we are always open to client suggestions and preferences for room set-ups.
Being a heritage site some of our function rooms have stair access only. Whilst all efforts are being made to upgrade our facilities to be access friendly under the Master Plan, we recommend speaking to your Sales Executive for advice on which rooms are easier to access for guests with a disability.
Most rooms have space for a dance floor however this depends on the number of wedding guests you have.
Minimum food and beverage spends do apply. These vary depending on the room you choose and the day of the week. Please speak with your Sales Executive for more information.
Option of cocktail set up (tall round aluminium dry bars and black poly vogue stools) or round dining tables (up to 10 people on each). We offer a padded chair with an option to hire chair covers @ $4.50 each. Alternatively, you can hire chairs through our recommended suppliers at an additional cost.
To secure your wedding with BRC, a 25% deposit of the minimum spend and the signed terms and conditions (including credit card security) are required. A 50% payment of your expected spend is then due 3 months prior, and the final balance paid 1 week prior. Any fault in payment will be processed to the credit card on file unless otherwise approved by management in writing.
From 3pm on Fridays and 4pm on Saturdays /Sundays. These times may vary if a race day is taking place.
Access to the room for set up depends on the availability and other function bookings. Official access to your reception room is from 4pm on the day of your wedding. If you require earlier access than this, we can confirm availability 7 days prior. If you require a large amount of time for set up, this may be arranged in advance with a bump in fee. Our Liquor License finishes at 12 midnight which is when all music and beverages must conclude.
We have free parking onsite and are located just minutes from the airport and CBD. The heritage buildings onsite are perfect to use as backdrops for photo opportunities. Ceremonies can be facilitated onsite in conjunction with receptions making the whole day seamless. We also have great connections with industry suppliers who offer competitive rates.
