Is there any additional cost for the kids’ activities?
No. All kids’ activities are included with your racecourse admission ticket. Food trucks and food purchases are not included.
What time will the kids’ activities start and finish?
Kids’ activities will run throughout the day from 10:30am to 4:30pm, with the exception of pony rides, which finish at 3:30pm.
Activities include:
Adrenaline Rush Obstacle Course (26m): 10:30am – 4:30pm
Bluey Jumping Castle: 10:30am – 4:30pm
Face Painting: 10:30am – 4:00pm
Craft Zone: 10:30am – 4:30pm
Giant Lawn Games: 10:30am – 4:30pm
Kids DJ: 10:30am – 4:30pm
Pony Rides: 10:30am – 3:30pm
Can my children meet the characters?
Yes! There will be 2x character meet-and-greet sessions featuring Dorothy the Dinosaur, Wags the Dog, Henry the Octopus, Captain Feathersword and the Tree of Wisdom.
These will take place at 12:20pm and 3:20pm.

What time will the live performance featuring The Tree of Wisdom and Dorothy the Dinosaur be?
The Tree of Wisdom & Dorothy the Dinosaur Live Show will take place at 11:30am and 2:30pm.

What time does the raceday start and finish?
BRC Members: Gates open at 10:00am
General Public: Gates open at 10:30am
BRC Ticketed Functions: Open from 11:30am
Kids’ activities will run from 10:30am to 4:30pm.
Will there be a kids’ fun zone?
Yes! The Kids’ Fun Zone will be located on the St Leger Lawn, featuring a range of activities for children to enjoy throughout the day.
Is there live horse racing on the day?
Yes. Century Pools Family Raceday will feature live horse racing throughout the day.
How much are tickets for children?
Children aged 17 and under receive free admission when accompanied by an adult.
Will there be tables and chairs available for families?
Yes. Additional tables and chairs will be available throughout the public areas for families to relax and enjoy the day.
Can I book a reserved table?
Yes. Reserved table options are available, including:
Winning Post Group Package – Located trackside, this package includes a reserved table for 10 and a complimentary cheese platter. Purchase a table here.
Hometurn Buffet – Includes a reserved table and buffet lunch. Purchase a table here.
Can we bring our own picnic blanket?
Yes! You are welcome to bring your own picnic blanket.
Can we bring our own food?
Outside food is not permitted on course unless you have an approved food exemption.
If you require an exemption, please contact [email protected] to request an exemption form. Baby food does not require an exemption.
Will there be jumping castles?
Yes! There will be two exciting inflatable activities:
- Adrenaline Rush 30m Mega Obstacle Course
- Bluey Jumping Castle
Both are included with racecourse admission.
Is there an age limit for the pony rides and is there a cost?
Pony rides are available for children aged 12 years and under. The activity is free and included with racecourse admission.
Are there parent room facilities?
Yes. Parent room facilities are available on course, with additional parent rooms located on the St Leger Lawn. Please refer to the event map on the day for locations.
Is parking free?
Yes. Public parking is available in the Infield Car Park, accessible via Gate 2 on Nudgee Road. A buggy service will operate between the infield car park and the racecourse.
Disabled access parking is available via Gate 5 on Hampden Street.
BRC Members can park in the Members Car Park via Gate 5 on Hampden Street.
If you require priority parking, please complete the priority parking request form prior to Friday 11 September.
What is the dress code?
The dress code is Smart Casual. Children are encouraged to wear sun-safe, comfortable clothing and appropriate footwear suitable for the day’s activities. Members Dress Code will apply in Members areas on course.
What ages is the event suitable for?
Century Pools Family Raceday is designed to be enjoyed by families, with a range of activities suitable for children up to 14 years of age.
What food trucks will be available and where are they located?
Three food trucks will be located on the St Leger Lawn:
- Twisted Sister
- Mt Pulled
- Street Eatz
Where else can we purchase food?
Food will also be available from Champions Grab & Go and Whips N Spurs, both located within the public areas of the racecourse.
What happens if it rains?
In the event of wet weather, activities will be relocated to undercover areas where possible. Activities that cannot be moved undercover will operate at the discretion of the individual activity operators. All raceday functions and hospitality packages will proceed as planned.
Will The Wiggles be performing?
No. The Wiggles will not be appearing or performing at Century Pools Family Raceday.
The live performance will feature The Tree of Wisdom and Dorothy the Dinosaur, along with Wags the Dog and Captain Feathersword.
