committed to providing its neighbours with current information regarding large scale events and racedays.

There will be road closures in place for race days at Doomben and Eagle Farm Racecourses over some of the May and June weekends as part of the 2025 Stradbroke Season Racing Carnival. Road closures include:

Saturday, 24 May 2025 (Doomben Cup)

Hampden St will be closed from Nudgee Rd to Onslow St.

Brassey St and Hopetoun St will be closed for through traffic. Resident’s vehicles will have access when required via Lamington Ave. There is NO vehicle access to these 2 streets via Hampden St.

Lancaster Rd (from Charlton St to Vine St). Access for residents and local business owners will be facilitated when required.

Racecourse Rd (from Lancaster Rd to Beatrice Tce). Access for residents and local business owners will be facilitated when required.

Londsdale St and Charlton St will be closed for through traffic. Access for residents and local business owners will be facilitated when required via Beatrice Tce.

Closures effective from 7am – approximately 8pm
JTS Traffic Controllers will be on site to conduct these closures. The BRC will also ensure that Security and cleaners have patrols around the surrounding streets and at the train station before, during and after the event.
There will be amplified music prior to gates open for sound checks starting at 8am and during the day until approximately 8pm when the event concludes. All music will be played within the noise restrictions of our liquor license. Note that media helicopters will be in the vicinity as well on some of these days.
