The Brisbane Racing Club is proud to have close working relationships with local residents and businesses and is
committed to providing its neighbours with current information regarding large scale events and racedays.

There will be road closures in place for race days at Eagle Farm Racecourse over some of the October and November weekends as part of the 2025 Spring Racing Carnival.  Road closures include:

Closure on the below date from 8am – approximately 7pm

Saturday, 11 October 2025 (QLD Cup Raceday)

Saturday, 18 October 2025 (Ladies Raceday)

Saturday, 1 November 2025 (Derby Day)

  • McGill Ave Only

  • Lancaster Road (from Charlton St to Racecourse Rd). Access for residents and local business owners will be facilitated when required.

Closure on the below date from 7am – approximately 8pm

Tuesday, 4th November 2025 (Melbourne Cup)

  • McGill Ave

  • Lancaster Rd (from Charlton St to Vine St). Access for residents and local business owners will be facilitated when required.

  • Racecourse Rd (from Lancaster Rd to Beatrice Tce).  Access for residents and local business owners will be facilitated when required.

  • Londsdale St and Charlton St will be closed for through traffic. Access for residents and local business owners will be facilitated when required via Beatrice Tce.

JTS Traffic Controllers will be on site to conduct these closures.  The BRC will also ensure that Security and cleaners have patrols around the surrounding streets and at the train station before, during and after the event.

Bus diversions will be in place for all the above closures.

There will be amplified music prior to gates open for sound checks starting at 8am and during the day until approximately 8pm when the event concludes.  All music will be played within the noise restrictions of our liquor license.  Note that media helicopters will be in the vicinity as well on some of these days.
