Brisbane Racing Club is proud to be participating in Pink Ribbon Raceweek 2026 and join Racing Queensland, and the wider industry, in support of groundbreaking breast cancer research.
At Eagle Farm’s midweek raceday on Wednesday 23 September, any runner wearing the number eight saddle cloth that wins a race will see a donation made to the National Breast Cancer Foundation (NBCF).
Every runner donning the number eight will also wear a pink saddle cloth in support of the NBCF.
Held between 19 – 26 September 2026, Pink Ribbon Raceweek is a major fundraising event for the NBCF, encompassing 30+ meetings across all three racing codes.
Last year’s combined effort raised close to $400,000 in the fight against breast cancer.
Every day in Australia, nine people will die from breast cancer while a further 56 are diagnosed.
Since their inception in 1994, the NBCF has reduced the death rate by over 40% thanks to over $250 million being invested into world-class research.
On Wednesday, the Brisbane Racing Club is racing for the NBCF’s vision of a world where there are zero deaths from breast cancer.
