Opened in early August 2020, the Ascot Aquatics Centre is a new public swimming facility located on Lancaster Road adjacent to Ascot Childcare & Kindy, in front of Eagle Farm Racecourse.
The Centre will cater to adults and children and feature a wide range of land and aqua based programs. These offerings include; Learn 2 Swim programs, Aqua Aerobics, Aqua Yoga, Lap Swimming, Pilates, Yoga, Boxing and Hydrotherapy.
The land on which the Ascot Aquatics Centre is currently being constructed was originally envisaged as open space. Brisbane Racing Club (BRC) saw an opportunity to generate income from the land on which the Aquatics Centre is being constructed as this had previously been achieved with the Ascot Childcare and Kindy project.
The BRC took the site to the market in 2018 seeking Expressions of Interest. Many quality submissions were received with the Club eventually agreeing to a lease with Ascot Aquatics Centre, owned by Millers Swim School who currently operate Newmarket Olympic Pool. Their proven experience and success, as well as their long track record in the Newmarket community, was a key element in their selection as the tenant.
All programs, except Learn to Swim, require no membership fees or prior booking. Simply visit the pool and pay as you go for each class or purchase a multi-pass.
