All aboard with EVA Air

Brisbane Racing Club is delighted to welcome EVA Air as its Official International Airline Partner for 2023.

The airline is the sponsor for the upcoming Group 1 $1 million Kingsford Smith Cup on 27 May during The Star Stradbroke Season. EVA Air will also headline other races throughout the year, including a race day and race during the 2023 Spring Carnival.

EVA Air has been operating international passenger and airfreight flights in Brisbane for almost 30 years and, via Taipei, links more than 60 major business and tourist destinations in Europe, North America and Asia.

EVA Air ranks ninth on the AirlineRatings.com Top 20 World’s Safest Airlines for 2023. This marks the 10th consecutive year EVA Air has earned a place among the global ratings website’s “safest airlines in the world”.

EVA Air currently operates a fleet of 86 aircraft, consisting of 78 passenger and 8 cargo aircraft. An additional 9 Boeing 787-9s, 5 Boeing 787-10s and 1 Boeing 777F are scheduled to be delivered before 2027.

Brisbane Racing Club CEO Tony Partridge said BRC was excited to once again have EVA Air on board, after previously partnering with the organisation from 2019.

“There is a wonderful alignment between EVA Air and our Club in terms of our commitment to growth, the promotion of Brisbane as a destination, environmental sustainability, and our focus on delivering the best in customer experiences,” Mr Partridge said.

“We look forward to having EVA Air associated with racing. Luxury equine tourism is growing in popularity and we encourage racing fans to fly EVA Air on their journeys to enjoy our racing events as well as the many others around the world.”

EVA Air Australia Branch General Manager Victor Hsaio said, “EVA Air is thrilled to partner with Brisbane Racing Club again. Those glamorous races, fashion events and family fun are iconic activities in Brisbane.

“We believe this partnership could bring together communities locally and regionally to highlight Brisbane city and horse racing events to the world.”
