BRC helping Little Blues enjoy fun football

Brisbane Racing Club’s Souths Sports Club is proud to be sponsoring this year’s Acacia Ridge Football Club Little Blues program that introduces youngsters to football.

This is the third year that the Acacia Ridge FC has organised the program and the second that it’s been delivered by the specialist coaches of Ginger Sport Fun Soccer.

Run over 12 weeks for children aged 3 to 5, the first session was held last Saturday morning (29 April).

“We are a community club and Littles Blues is all about showing kids how much fun football is,” said Acacia Ridge FC Administrator and Operations Manager Donny Fenwick.

“This sponsorship subsidises the costs for parents, which means more children can participate.

“This is a multicultural community and we know many families face pressures from the rising cost of living, so support for this program is a big benefit to our community.”

As well as the Little Blues clinic, BRC’s Souths Sports Club is supporting the Acacia Ridge FC through a yearly club sponsorship, a contribution to its infrastructure fund, and helping to maintain its fields, playing surfaces and grounds.

Souths and BRC’s other community club, Gallopers at Hamilton, are not-for-profit clubs committed to contributing to the local communities in which they operate. In 2021-22, the clubs provided more than $400,000 of financial support to those communities.
