Enjoy Every Race
Eagle Farm and Doomben racecourse will light up Queensland’s summer racing calendar featuring four Group 3 and twelve Listed races.
The carnival kicks off at Doomben this Saturday 29 November with two headline races. Watch Queensland’s top fillies and mares contest the Listed Eureka Tattersall’s Classic alongside the thrilling Tattersall’s Recognition Stakes.
The carnival continues on 6 December at Cricks Highway Country Finals raceday when bush gallopers and sprinting superstars charge into Doomben racecourse to contend the Country Cups Challenge and Stampede finals, and the G3 George Moore Stakes CBT Sunset Summer Raceday on 12 December at Doomben is sure to be a highlight. This Friday afternoon card has fast become a favourite for Christmas parties, or to knock off work early for a beverage in a relaxed yet exciting atmosphere.
Eagle Farm will take centre stage for the carnival’s final four Saturdays as the excitement continues to build.
The first “win-and-you’re-in” to the Stradbroke Handicap is on the line at Ladbrokes Gateway Raceday (13 December). This weight-for-age feature race grants winning connections the opportunity to select a horse to line up in next year’s most prestigious race in Queensland.
Exclusive to four-year-olds prior to 2024, this year’s edition of the Ladbrokes Gateway will see three-year-olds compete for just the second time.
On 20 December, Seven Grand Prix Stakes Raceday will feature a thrilling Group 3 middle-distance race for three-year-olds, followed by Season Celebration Raceday on 27 December 2025.
Featured on Season Celebration Raceday is the Magic Millions B.J. McLachlan Stakes.
Have your blackbooks handy – two of the last four Magic Millions B.J. McLachlan champions, Storm Boy and Coolangatta, have gone on to win the Magic Millions 2YO Classic on the Gold Coast just a few weeks later, making this a key race for future stars.
Magic Millions Prelude Raceday (3 January 2026) concludes the summer carnival as trainers put the final touches on their Magic Millions preparations.
