Olivia's Raceday fundraising success

MORE than $250,000 was raised for the Mater Foundation at Doomben’s Olivia’s Raceday last Saturday.

At an event attended by Premier Annastacia Palasczcuk and Racing Minister Grace Grace, guests threw their weight behind the cause, which is in honour of Olivia Clark, who was born at just 25 weeks and died at just six days of age.

Olivia would have been 21 this year and for the past 20 years her mum Maria Clark has organised a fundraiser in her honour, more recently transitioning from a lunch into a raceday, with help from her close friends and two daughters.

Last year’s event at Doomben raised $165,000 and that figure grew to $253,000 on Saturday at a function attended by 400 guests.
