Support Charities During The Star Stradbroke Season 50-50 Charity Raffles

22 May 2025

Brisbane Racing Club will be hosting a 50-50 Charity Raffle on each raceday during The Star Stradbroke Season, helping to raise much-needed funds for six different charity organisations.

The first raffle held on Saturday 3 May on Sky Racing Guineas Day Day at Eagle Farm Racecourse raised over $13,000 in total sales for Ambulance Wish Queensland.

Combined with the total raised for Fun Farm on Ladbrokes Doomben 10,000 Day (17 May), over $27,000 has been raised in total so far.

The 50-50 fundraising initiative gives racegoers the chance to win a cash prize, with everyone who buys a ticket going into the draw to win 50 percent of the prize pool of tickets sold. The other 50 percent goes to support the relevant charity. So the more tickets sold, the bigger the prize to be won and the more money raised for the relevant charity.

Raffle ticket sellers in distinctive bright green aprons will be at each raceday and from the Monday before the day, tickets can be purchased online.

Since 2018, BRC has helped raise more than $890,000 in total for a range of charities through the 50-50 initiative. The BRC is excited to be closing in on an all time raised total of $1million.

If you would like to volunteer to sell tickets for any of the charities on the racedays, please email team@5050charityraffle.com.au.
