The following runners engaged today at Eagle Farm have recently trialled in the South East Queensland area. Below is an alphabetical listing and summary of the trial.

Race 4 12.33pm Sporting Chance Cancer Foundation 3yo Quality 1300m.
No.3 Viral – (T. Edmonds) – 1st (0.1L) 8/4 Gold Coast 1000m Class 2 trial Good (TR 109)
Resuming. Jumped well, easing a little soon after settled behind the leader fence just over 2 lengths away. Improving to the turn, cornered off leaders back asked to challenge, urged to go past late
Race 5 1.08pm TAB Dalrello Stakes 1000m.
No.13e Stage Play – (G. Heinrich) – 3rd (3.5L) 8/4 Gold Coast 1000m 2yo trial Good (TR 101)
Resuming. Jumped well, didn’t push on initially before improving to settle 2nd just under 2 lengths off the leader. Cornered no closer, back to 3rd 200m faded a little however wasn’t asked for any effort.
No.14e Encieh – (K. Schweida) – 1st (0.1L) 26/3 Doomben 840m 2yo trial Good (TR 97)
Resuming. Jumped ok, settled 3rd off the fence 2 lengths away. Raced keenly to the turn, eased around leaders top of the straight, loomed 150m, under no urgings got the front right where it counted.
No.18e White Satin Dancer – (G. Heinrich) – Last of 5 (2.8L) 26/3 Doom 1000m 2yo trial Good (TR91)
First start. Missed the start almost a length improving to settle 3rd fence around 2 lengths off the lead. Cornered same urged along though soon under pressure, back to last final 100m wasn’t punished however was put under some pressure.
Race 6 1.43pm McCarthy Homes Benchmark 75 Handicap 1400m.
No.1 Happy Go Plucky – (J. Gilmore) – 4th 8/4 Gold Coast 1000m Open trial Good (TR 108)
Resuming. Jumped ok, settled a distant 4th 8 lengths off the lead. Length closer straight trying to make some ground on the leading trio, did so without threat.
No.4 Le Dude – (G. Boyd) – 5th 25/3 Gold Coast 1000m Open trial Good (TR 106.5)
Resuming. Jumped well, no interest in pushing on settled down 3rd fence keen to go faster 2 lengths away. Slightly further back straight, made no headway wasn’t really asked to though.
No.21e Ultimate Ring – (K. Schweida) – Last of 4 (7.5L) 26/3 Doom 840m Class 2 trial Good (TR 98)
Resuming. Missed the start almost a length in the small field settling back last of the four runners 4 lengths from the lead. Same to the turn railing, no run on wasn’t punished though.
Race 7 2.22pm Energy Air Benchmark 75 Handicap 1400m.
No.2 Bryneich – (C. Anderson) – 5th (7.45L) 2/4 Deagon 1000m Open trial Soft (TR 117.5)
Resuming. Jumped ok off the inside gate urged a little balanced up 5th fence just over 3 lengths from the lead. No closer straight pushed along, jock sat up late winner bolted in this held ground.
No.3 Danzie – (S. Morrisey) – 2nd (0.3L) 8/4 Gold Coast 1000m Open trial Good (TR 96)
Resuming. Jumped well, settled down close up outside the leader. Similar into the straight, took over 150m & although not pressured couldn’t hold the closing winner who was also given an easy time.
Race 9 3.42pm TAB Victory Stakes 1200m.
No.2 I’m A Rippa – (T. Gollan) – 2nd (6.0L) 2/4 Deagon 1000m Open trial Soft (TR 117.5)
Resuming. Jumped ok, quickly on the move charging across to lead off the fence briefly before settling a close up 2nd. Back 2 lengths away passing the 400m, margin 4 lengths into the straight wasn’t asked to give chase to the line.
No.8 Stella Victoria – (R. Heathcote) – 1st (6.0L) 2/4 Deagon 1000m Open trial Soft (TR 117.5)
Resuming. Jumped well, led briefly, shaded before going through to regain the front narrowly settling down. Increased margin to 2 lengths 400m, 4 lengths into the straight, urged only briefly and minimally increased the margin by another couple of lengths to the line.
Race 10 4.22pm Metricon Class 6 Plate 1200m.
No.1 Cadogan – (T. Edmonds) – 2nd (2.25L) 25/3 Gold Coast 1000m Open trial Good (TR 101.5)
Resuming. Jumped only averagely no rush from the gate settled back second last fence 5 lengths from the lead. Travelled ok to the turn, quickly to 3rd 200m, moved through to 2nd last 150m making ground on the winner to the line.
No.9 Wild ‘n’ Famous – (D. Fletcher) – 3rd (3.5L) 8/4 Gold Coast 1000m Open trial Good (TR 107)
Freshened. Jumped a half-length in front, happy to hand up parking behind the leader fence just under 2 lengths away. Similar into the straight, held ground as the leading pair increased their margin however this not put under any pressure whatsoever.
No.14 The Fire Trap – (M. Dunn) – 4th 8/4 Gold Coast 1000m Open trial Good (TR 96)
Resuming. Taken hold of at the start no rush whatsoever settled down last only 5 lengths off the lead. Similar into the straight, hit the line nicely late under a good grip.
